Alone in a room
With the moon so bright
I gather my thoughts
All through the night

When someone so dear
Will soon depart

Alone next door
Mom quietly waits
For the Lord and His angels
To open up the gates

With a sweet, peaceful smile
Strengthened by a prayer
And Mother Mary beside her

Alone I seek
To understand this day
Why the good and the faithful

That soon joins the ocean
Her path blessed so many
