Resources for protecting the unborn are also available outside the United States. Here are some of the many special organizations around the world who dedicate themselves to helping women in need of counseling and assistance.

The charitable work of Family & Life started in Dublin, Ireland. The organization is focused on protecting human life and helping women, children, unborn babies and families in vulnerable situations. Their work focuses on alleviating poverty in its complete definition.

Birthright began in Toronto, Canada and was founded by Lourdes Summerhill in 1968. The organization provides caring, non-judgmental support to girls and women who are distressed by an unplanned pregnancy. Using its own resources and those of the community, Birthright offers positive and loving alternatives. Birthright presents many services. provides friendship and emotional support, free pregnancy testing, and maternity and baby clothes. They also give information and referrals to help clients meet legal, medical, financial, and housing needs. Birthright treats each woman as an individual who deserves kindness and respect, as well as personal attention to her unique situation. All Birthright services are free, absolutely confidential, and available to any woman regardless of age, race, creed, economic or marital status.
