The song was originally written in Filipino and won 3rd place in a song
competition at the Cultural Center of the Philippines during the "International Year of the Child".
Back then, the song competition judges debated whether or not the song
deserved any place in the competition because the theme was about
children and some judges did not view the fetus as a child. It
seemed like the resounding applause from the audience was the main
reason it even received an award.
This life-enriching experience led me to believe that if more people
rally behind the protection of the unborn, more attention and
resources will be spent towards safeguarding their right to live.
My two children have inspired me to write an
English version of this song so that they may grow up learning the value
of life and feel in their hearts how much they mean to
me and my wife from the moment they were conceived.
I am hopeful that the song will
inspire others to love and take care of their own child or children for they are
truly God's blessings.

A symbolic headstone that reads:
In loving memory of the unborn
"I will never forget you behold I have inscribed you in the palm
of my hand."
